this is a recipe i threw together because i was tired of paying close to $5 for those low-fat pre-packaged meals (Lean Cusine, et. al.) i wanted something i could make at home that would save me money and also not have to worry about all those weird preservatives and crap they put in everything (i'm a hippy, sue me *giggle*)
Ingredients:
4 Chick'n Grill patties (or chicken breast) cooked and cut into cubes
Large Package Pasta - I think spirals or shells work best
1 jar Classico Alfredo w/ sun dried tomatoes sauce
frozen or fresh veggie of your choice (I like broccoli)
Cook the pasta, then drain. Add in the veggies and the cooked, cubed chicken -toss with the sauce.
If you want to eat it all now, heat on stove until warm.
If you want to make lunches, seperate it into fridge/microwave safe containers . Store in the fridge. When ready to eat, microwave for about 4 minutes.
Makes approximately 6 servings.
Feel free to try lots of variations on this using different sauces and veggies or whatever. see, it's versatile! and yummy :)
