main dish
Chicken with Pasta in a Garlic Oil Sauce
the cook:jaya about more

So this isn't the healthiest of meals, but around here, it goes faster than fast. I make it and I'm pretty sure it will serve 4, but the leftovers are usually gone within 24 hours.

Ingredients:

Chicken:

3/4 pound boneless chicken breast, sliced
1 pound pasta of your choice (I prefer penne myself, but feel free to use whatever you prefer)
1/2 of a large yellow onion, minced
3 cloves of garlic, minced (or to taste)
olive oil for sautéing

Sauce:

5 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cloves garlic, minced (or to taste)
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
oregano to taste

In a large sauté pan, saute onions and garlic until onions begin to brown. Add chicken and sauté until the chicken is cooked.

Boil pasta following instructions on package. Drain, set aside.

For the sauce, combine ingredients in a small sauce pan. Warm on low heat until the garlic powder dissolves and the garlic softens a little.

Mix the pasta and chicken. Coat the pasta and chicken with the sauce mixture.

Garnish with oregano and parmesan cheese.
