2 TBS sunflower seeds
1/2 C slivered almonds
1 bag Broccoli Slaw (1/2 head cabbage or bag cabbage slaw may be substituted)
4 green onions, sliced
1 pkg. Oriental Top Ramen noodles, crushed to pea-sized pieces with a rolling pin
Toast almonds in dry skillet or under broiler. Combine almonds and the rest of the salad ingredients above, saving Ramen flavor packet. Top with dressing.
DRESSING:
2 TBS sugar
1/4 c oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3-4 TBS white or rice vinegar
1 Ramen flavor packet (from above)
Combine all, pour over salad. Toss.
This is a wonderfully easy recipe to make for all those bring-a-dish-to-pass luncheons. It's crunchy with a tang to it, and never fails to impress. I swear, I must have given this recipe out a dozen times.
