Marinated Flank Steak
This recipe is from Anne of Am I There Yet?
1/4 cup canola oil
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp (30 mL) brown sugar
1/2 tsp (2 mL) dried oregano
4 tbsp tamari
1/2 tsp tobasco
1 tsp salt
2 lbs flank steak
- Combine all ingredients except steak in plastic bag or shallow covered container.
- Score flank steak slightly in a diamond pattern on both sides. Place into container/bag and seal tightly. Allow to marinate for 2 hours.
- Remove steak from marinade. Discard marinade.
- Grill or oven-broil steak for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness of steak and degree of desired doneness.
Serves: 6 to 8
