
Ingredients
1 cup apple juice
1 cup frozen mango chunks*
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana, cut in 1-inch pieces
Preparation
In an electric blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. (*Peaches or nectarines may be substituted for mangos.) Serve immediately. Makes one large serving.
Tips
When I get into the smoothie-making mood, I like to cut up and freeze several pieces of fruit at once, all in individually labeled and dated ziploc baggies. That way whenever the mood strikes you, everything is waiting in the freezer ready to go. Ice will make your drink "lighter" and obviously colder. And milk will mellow out strong flavors.
