Put in a large pan:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/4 cup coocoa
- 1/2 cup milk
Bring to a boil for 2 to 3 minutes - this will make the mixture change consistancy to more of a syrup.
Remove from heat and add:
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
Stir and let peanut butter melt.
Add 3 cups Oatmeal and stir well.
Spoon onto wax papered cookie sheets and let chill.
This is a family favorite, passed down from my Aunt Vickie. She claims that my dad came up with the name Poop Drop Cookies, and that's what's listed on her original recipe card. My mom tried for a period of time to get us to call them Yummy Cookies because she thought the real name wasn't too pleasent, but it just didn't stick. They are truely perfect no-bakes!!
