
I found this on my desktop that I had typed up to share and then never did! I make this a lot when its Apple season in October because its a great use for the apples!
The perfect recipe for an abundant apple season. After one taste, you’ll want to make it again and again.

Makes 6 servings
4 medium tart cooking apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (4 cups)
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves added by Kristine, not in the original recipe
1. Heat oven to 375ºF. Grease bottom and sides of square pan, 8x8x2 inches.
2. Arrange apples in pan. Mix remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over apples.
3. Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream.
