Death by White Chocolate

1 pkg (8 squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg (6 squares) white baking chocolate or 1 cup white chocolate chunks
2 cups chopped macademia nuts or slivered almonds (if you don't add the nuts, add 3/4 cup additional flour)

Heat oven to 350. Microwave semi-sweet chocolate in large bowl on high for 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla until well-blended. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in white chocolate and nuts. (This is a thick dough, so using a wooden spoon is best). Drop by 1/4 cupfuls for big cookies, by spoonfuls for smaller cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 13-14 minutes, until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch. Cool 1 minute and remove from cookie sheets to wire racks. YUM!
