Moni of Yack'd'Yack posted a recipe for coconut macaroons that looks yummy!

The cookie of the night at my house is Russian Teaballs. They look like little snowballs, and (to quote the Friends last week) "taste like a little piece of heaven!"
Betty Crocker calls them Russian Tea Cakes, but I've always known them as Teaballs, so that's what I have to call them *g*

Russian Teaballs
Prep: 20 mins; Bake 48 mins
Makes about 4 dozen cookies

1 cup stick margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
1/4 teaspoon salt
Powdered Sugar

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
   
2. Mix margarine, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and the vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in the flour, nuts, and salt until dough holds together.
   
3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
   
4. Bake 10 to 12 minutres or until set but not brown. Remove from cookie sheet. Cool slightly on wire rack.
   
5. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar; cool on wire rack. Roll in powdered sugar again.

Delicious! So I'm off to the kitchen to be covered with powdered sugar!
